GDM not loading.
« on: August 28, 2010, 06:36:30 pm »
Hello!

First off, I love this distro!  I didn't have any problems with the 32 bit version but I decided to install the 64 bit and also but my /home dir on a separate partition for the first time. Those are the only two things that I changed.

Now, when the computer boots, it stops at the terminal and asks me to log in. I do and then I have to type "sudo gdm" in order to bring it up.  Once I log in with gdm, everything is fine. What can I do to get gdm to come up automatically?

Thanks,
Craig

Could you try and re-install gdm and see if that fixes it.

It worked! That was so simple. I feel silly now.  :)

Thanks again!

Great. Closed. Moved.

When something is working, don't FIX it.
