Removing conky for visibility
« on: August 30, 2010, 09:19:20 pm »
Hi   my user name is hobocaver. I am now trying PinguyOS as a live cd; I really like it. One quirk I would like to solve; Conky won't go away, due to my short time playing with this. Can it be removed temporarily, then restarted easily? I will very likely install this right over Elive Gem, which I like, but it is so out of date, no updates and forums are meager, at best. Thanks.

You can also click on the menu button (upper left on desktop) go to perferences. (click) .........and then start up applications (click).

From  there you can uncheck the conky check box and restart your machine...... No more conky. To restart just do the opposite.

Hope this helps.....

And yes.....Pinguy I think this can be moved to the closed tickets.
