Wow!  I'm not really surprised though. I did a search for Pinguy OS and it seems it's been picked up by a good many Linux sites.

So far, everyone that I showed PinguyOS, liked it.

Experts, complete n00bs, and some moderately experienced users, everyone liked it. Some, the experts, may not use it, but, as they say, whenever a friend asks them what linux to use, they point them to this one.

So, PinguyOS will grow, let's hope the community grows with it.

Fun stats on the review I wrote of PinguyOS:



It is my most view distro review still over a month after I wrote it (within the first week of writing it, it was viewed over 8,000 times!). The most amazing part about it's high hit count still is that it is not linked to from distrowatch (yet) as my other reviews are.

Looks like Pinguy OS has been picked up on StumbleUpon. The site is getting a bit of a hammering at the moment.

Yesterday was pretty busy.

401,987 page hits, and 433 downloads. That's about 18 copy's an hour.

This is something I didn't expect, not this early in it's life anyway. Most of the downloads for this week are from Windows users.

Statistics, statistics, statistics..

If it's any consolation, I downloaded from a windows machine (the family one) 'cos it was free, I was using my Linux one for something else! Also, PinguyOS is my default OS now 'cos I like it that much.
