Problem with Update Manager/mintUpdate and sleep mode
« on: September 05, 2010, 01:17:32 am »
I noticed there are 4 updates in MintUpdate, but I can't update because I get the message I must fix broken packages first. As you can see in the screenshot, one of the paakages is not installed, so how can it be trying to update it? Also, the mintUpdate icon in the panel becomes unrsponsive; nothing happens now when I click on it, and when I try right-click refresh, nothing happens. This happened earlier today and when I rebooted it worked again for a while.  Also, when I open synaptic, it shows no broken packages.
Any ideas what I can do?
PS: I've set my computer to sleep and spin down disk after 30 minutes. It worked fine the last two days, but is not going into automatic sleep now.
Thanks for any assistance.

When something is working, don't FIX it.
