I haven't really got a music player that I
really like. My favourite one for awhile was
Songbird because of all the add-ons until they stopped Linux support and the iPod add-on stop working. I also liked
Listen when I was first starting out with Linux but got bored of that pretty quickly.
aTunes is ok but its such an ugly looking player and it feels really slow.
Haven't tried
Clementine yet but am going to. I really like the idea of using a Wii controller with it, plus it's meant to work with iPods now, something I haven't been able to get
Banshee to do for awhile. It also has
ProjectM visuals integrated into it.
EDIT#
Just installed
Clementine to give it a test drive. Seems like a really nice player. Did have a bit of problems installing but was easy to fix just needed to run:
sudo apt-get -f install
after installing the .deb
Still need to test the Wii remote and iPod support but so far I am liking what I am seeing. There does seem to be a bit of a problem with it picking up the album art but this is because I haven't tagged the music with the album art, but Rhythmbox has never had this problem, as long as the cover art was in the folder with the tracks Rhythmbox would show it. Maybe something the developers could look into for future releases.
It could also do with with some way of getting info from Wikipedia about the playing track and a lyrics plugin.
